The human body is an amazing machine and while science has been able to provide a great foundation of proven methods on how to progress and improve our fitness toward a specific goal, each individual responds in their own ways and on their own timelines. Coaching is the finesse of knowing how to apply those principles to a very individual human experience and in the most efficient way possible.
While most people hire me to get them to a specific goal, my favorite part of the job is ensuring that the experiences that ultimately lead to the goal are the most impactful part of the athlete’s experience with coaching. I am in the business of people, not just sport. Listening to the feedback of each athlete, then knowing how to adjust their training based on feedback is what makes the coaching experience personalized. This is why I choose not to create a business model of high client loads at the lowest costs in the industry. At those numbers, the ability to devote the attention I feel the athlete deserves is lost. I choose to keep my client load lower, with more time spent each week on each athlete to ensure I am creating the most positive and efficient experience possible.
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE science. There’s something so simple and reassuring about understanding the “why” behind most aspects of human performance. I am constantly educating myself on the latest research. Not just because it makes me a better coach, but simply because I enjoy it.
It is my absolute privilege and joy to be a part of any person’s pursuit of growth both in a running capacity and personal capacity. After all, they go hand in hand.

sharpening the tools in my coaching toolbelt
Every year, new findings are published in the science of human performance. There is so much we know and yet an ocean of what we still have yet to learn. I take time each week to study new research and coaching methodologies to ensure that I am a dynamic coach.
